Jump one peg over a neighbour into the empty hole directly beyond it. The peg you jumped
over is removed. Keep going until no jump is left.
- Click a peg, then click the hole you want it to land in.
- Goal: finish with a single peg — ideally in the centre hole.
- Jumps follow the board's lines — rows and columns, plus the slant on the triangle.
- Do not strand a peg in a corner: keep the survivors clustered.
The English board has been studied for over three centuries — Leibniz wrote about it
in 1710. A single centre-hole finish is possible, but the losing lines vastly outnumber
the winning ones.
